That all women, men and children have the basic right to dignity and self-determination, and that all people should have the opportunity and choice of enhancing their own potential and well-being

Sampark’s mission is to help vulnerable and poor people, especially women, to gain direct control over and improve their lives. This is achieved through educational interventions primarily aimed at increasing people’s income earning ability.

Over 31 years Sampark worked with development practitioners as resource organization and practiced development projects in field.Mission is to help vulnerable`e and poor people, especially women and children, to gain direct control over and improve their lives through inclusive and empowering ways of working that respect and promote equality. 

In Bangalore urban Sampark set up Workers Resource Centre (WRC) through which it works with 30,000 migrant workers in construction sector in Bangalore .Sampark works educate and empower workers in health, education, finance, social security and legal sectors to make them aware and access their  rights.

Sampark set up crèches for children of migrant construction workers provides early childhood care, safety, health and education enabled children to be competent and confident individuals. Reached out to 12,000 chidlren of migrant construction workers in Bangalore.

In villages of Koppal district, Karnataka and Varanasi Sampark works with 15,820 families through organizing and strengthening women’s self help groups into cooperatives who are self owned, self managed and viable microfinance organizations. Sampark works with these families in gender, promotion of technical skill, enterprise, heath, education and vocational trainings.  In business development Sampark works in two ways, as a resource organization and directly working with women. It facilitates process for motivation, gaining knowledge on enterprise, vocational skills and credit linkages helped women and youth to set up businesses. In education Sampark was able to improve women’s functional literacy and school education and stopping child labour.  Sampark integrated general health and psychological counseling into savings and credit activities of SHGs, facilitated group to become a secure base for the members to share personal and economic problems.
